Lake Champlain Island Agricultural Network
The Lake Champlain Islands Agriculture Network is a partner organization of South Hero Land Trust. The network grew out of an agriculture resource inventory of Grand Isle County, initiated by South Hero Land Trust, the Lake Champlain Islands Chamber of Commerce, and area farms
in 2010.
The network is a non-profit membership organization that brings together Grand Isle County farmers, food processors, and agricultural organizations working to suport a vibrant farming community in the Champlain Islands.
The Network supports:
- collaboration between farms, food businesses, and agricultural organizations
- Educational and networking opportunities for farms, food businesses, and the community
- promotion of Champlain Islands agriculutral and food products
- Maintaining high quality products withing the Champlain Islands brand
Partner members in the network are farmers, food outlets, food processors, and agricultural organizations in the Champlain Islands. These partners collaborate to support quality agricutural
production in the Islands and pledge to uphold the mission and goals of the network. Look for the LCIAN logo as you travel through the Islands, and know that the growers and processors who disply it are an integral part of the network and agriculture in the Islands.
