With the longest growing season in Vermont, the Champlain Islands are a great place for local farms and amazing food. Our hardworking farmers are committed to feeding our community, and their fresh vegetables, fruits, eggs, meats, and other products can be found through on-farm stands, the Champlain Islands Farmers' Market, and at local stores and restaurants.
Learn more about our local farms and the products available in the Champlain Islands by checking out the Champlain Islands Grown Guide to Agriculture! With a printed map and an online directory, the guide is a great way to explore the best the Islands have to offer. You can pick up a copy of the printed map at the South Hero Land Trust office, the Champlain Islands Farmers' Market, and local farm stands, restaurants, and stores.
Or you can use our online directory to find farms- listed by town and by product- just click here to check it out!
If you are a farmer or producer in the Islands or a business that sells Island-made products, and would like to participate in future guides, please contact Guy Maguire by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 802-372-3786. You can also go here to complete the online application form.
