Volunteers are essential to our work! from building the trails at Round Pond Natural Area and the Landon Community Trail, to cleaning up the roads and shoreline of South Hero during the annual statewide Green Up Day, our community is committed to caring for the land we work and play on!

South Hero Land Trust is working with the South Hero Recreation Commission and local community members to build a team of volunteers to care for our trails, called the Friends of Islands Trails (FIT). This group will work to keep all of our local trails safe and beautiful for many years to come. If you'd like to participate in our volunteer events, sign up for our e-news updates and volunteer alerts below!

South Hero Land Trust also organizes volunteer days and service learning trips for students and other groups. Each spring the rising 8th grade at Folsom Education and Community Center comes out for a day of removing invasive species at one of our natural areas, to celebrate the end of the school year and give back to their community.  If you are interested in a volunteer event for your students, workplace, or community group, please email our staff at info@shlt.org.
