Join South Hero Land Trust and nature enthusiast Chuck Hulse for an evening celebrating fireflies. We’ll begin by learning about these unique insects and how they create light, and then read a story together. Once it’s dark, we’ll head out for a short walk along the Rec Park trail to watch them in action. Bring a jar or container if you’d like to try catching one to observe up close.
Open to all ages—come enjoy a relaxed evening outdoors and discover the magic of these remarkable creatures! Please RSVP Here to let us know you’re coming!

Site information: We’ll be gathering on a gravel parking lot, then walking along a wooden boardwalk and crushed stone/grass trail. Check out our South Hero Rec Park page for full accessibility information and to learn more about the history of the trail!
