Glacial History of the Islands with Craig Heindel

  • Worthen Library 28 Community Lane South Hero, VT, 05486 United States (map)

Join geologist Craig Heindel for a presentation about the time of the ice-age glaciers and the formation of modern Lake Champlain. Craig will take us through a fascinating exploration of an era when massive ice sheets scoured the landscape, churning up and depositing rocks thousands of miles away from where they started. Craig will teach us how to look for the signs of our glacial past all around us, and will forever change the way you understand our landscapes.

Presented by SHLT, in partnership with C.I.D.E.R. and the Worthen Library. Free. All are welcome. Contact guy@shlt.org with questions.
