We will be working to restore South Hero’s natural areas with a volunteer work party at the Landon Community Trail.
Landon Farm was conserved in 2003, and is now privately owned by Pigasus Meats. Opened in 2010, the ¾ of a mile Landon Community Trail serves as a space for walking, running, snowshoeing, skiing and horseback riding.
The goal for the day is to improve drainage and maintain the trail for mud with shovels, as well as cut back foliage on the trail.
All are welcome, but please leave pets at home.
Please Bring: Water bottle, gloves (we’ll have extra), and clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. We have some hand tools to share, but if you have your own shovel, loppers, and/or clippers, it never hurts to bring extra just in case!
We will also provide snacks and drinks.
