Join us, Grand Isle County Natural Resources Conservation District, and the North Hero Parks & Recreation Committee for a fun evening focused on water quality!
We’ll be gathering at the Camp Ingalls Butternut Hill Natural Area, which has a beautiful mature forest, glacial erratics, and great views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. Karen Bates, VT DEC Basin Planner and Master Naturalist, will lead us on a walk along one of the trails, helping us better understand the unique habitats and wildlife we encounter, how nature adapts and to change, and what we can learn from those natural systems. We’ll also explore ways these lessons can help you better understand your own property and practices you can mimic to build resilience.
The event is free and open to all, through registration is required. Go to GrandIsleCountyNRCD.org/events to RSVP.
This event is co-hosted with Grand Isle County Natural Resource Conservation District, South Hero Land Trust, and North Hero Parks & Rec. Committee.
