Summer Camps with SHLT in 2026

South Hero Land Trust is thrilled to be bringing back our summer camps for another season!

This year, we’re hosting 3 week-long camps, each designed to help connect children with their ecosystem and their community:

  • the Water Cycle “Champ”ions camp is for rising 6th - 8th graders, and will bring campers on fun bike field trips across the area to learn about water and water quality.

  • the Nature Explorers camp is for rising 1st - 3rd graders, and will be filled with ecology-based games, art, forest discoveries, and (of course) exploring!

  • the Food, Farms, and Fun camp is for rising 3rd - 5th graders, and will take advantage of a late-summer school garden (and neighboring farms) to help campers build their cooking skills and learn about our local food and ecosystem.

The lottery to sign up for a camp is open through February 15th. The camps are open to everyone, though preference will be given to Grand Isle County families.

For more information about the camps, how to sign up, and payments + scholarships, please check out our Summer Camps page!
