Water Wigglers StoryWalk® at the South Hero Recreation Park

Explore the Outdoors Together

Exploring the outdoors as a family is a great way to spend time together and learn to care for our special planet.

South Hero Land Trust and the Worthen Library are excited to share our new StoryWalk® at the South Hero Recreation Park! We hope your family will enjoy learning about the natural world together, while strengthening literacy skills and getting physical activity. We’ll be posting new stories every 4-6 months, so you can visit again and again.

Going for a Hike

The 2022 winter story is “Over and Under the Snow” By Kate Messner. Come discover the magical world of animals living beneath our feet in the winter!

The 2021 summer story was “The Hike” by Alison Farrell. Have ideas for stories? Email info@shlt.org.

For each story, we will post a guide, activities, and additional resources here.
