South Hero Land Trust and Vermont Land Trust are working with the Lalumiere Family to conserve the historic Kibbe Farm. Join us on Sunday, October 11 at 1pm to meet the family and get a tour of the farm, followed by an optional paddle along the shoreline, weather permitting. Hot cider, coffee and snacks provided!

We will start at 1pm with a talk from SHLT’s Executive Director Guy Maguire about the project, followed by remarks from landowners Brian and Sue Lalumiere. At 1:30, we will go on a guided 1 mile walking tour of the property. About half the tour is on a gravel road, and half is across a recently mowed hayfield. There will space available on a hay wagon for people who are unable to or prefer not to walk.

At 2:30pm we will be back to launch kayaks for a 1 mile paddle along the shoreline to be conserved. Please note that participants will need to bring their own boats.
