Life at 10x: Nature Through a Lens

  • Landon Community Trail 110 Landon Rd South Hero, VT, 05486 United States (map)

Join local nature-enthusiast Chuck Hulse and South Hero Land Trust for an introduction to hand lenses, magnifying glasses, and magnifying sheets as we zoom in on the world around us!

We will start in the Landon parking lot with learning how to use these various tools. We’ll then head out on the trail to practice our new skills! We’ll be able to examine all sorts of plants, lichens, leaves, and mushrooms, as well as insects and soil organisms. Plus take home valuable skills, knowledge, and appreciation for nature’s smallest joys to bring with you on all your future time out on the trails!

Bring a hand lens if you have one! We’ll have extra to share.

This walk is intended for adults, and is limited to 8 people, so sign up now!

Site Information: We’ll meet at a crushed stone parking lot, and walk along a dirt trail. Due to a large rock at the beginning of the trail, this event is not wheelchair accessible. Visit the Landon Community Trail page for more information.
