South Hero Conservation Block Party and Naturalist-Guided Inclusive Paddle

  • Sand Bar State Park 1215 US Route 2 Milton, VT United States (map)

We're kicking off the second season of Conservation Block Parties by trading the neighborhood "block" for the lake!

Join us at Sand Bar State Park for a free day of paddling, wildlife watching, birdsong, and connecting with your community. Kayaking is available from 10 AM–2 PM, or stay on shore for a hands-on aquatic plant workshop from 11 AM–12 PM. Free lunch for all participants.

Thanks to our partnership with NDAA's Kayaking for All, adaptive kayaks and on-water assistance will be available, making this event accessible to everyone.

Registration is required. Go to the Grand Isle County NRCD’s Event Page to sign up!

This event is co-hosted with Grand Isle County Natural Resource Conservation District, South Hero Land Trust, Northeast Disabled Athletic Association, North Branch Nature Center, and Lake Champlain Committee.
